Improving acknowledgement of safety in fire prevention and firefighting

With an aim to improve the compliance of health staff, physicians in implementing Fire Prevention Activity and acknowledgement of its safety, as well as to prevent and handle situations when a fire or explosion occurs, on November 11^th, 2019, Viet Duc University Hospital collaborated with the Fire Protection Unit No. 1 of Hanoi Police Department to organize a training on fire prevention operations and practicing firefighting plans at the hospital. 

 

Nearly 400 health staff, security team and employees participated at the training taught by Mr. Nguyen Xuan Linh – a Lecturer of Official Fire Fighting Prevention University, at the presense of Fire Prevention Commanding Committee and Fire Prevention Team.

During this event, the hospital’s staff and employees were taught the basic knowledge on fire prevention, potential causes of explosion and fire, some fire prevention situations and solutions, escape skills; then practicing skills in place with firefighting tools, usage of those tools to extinguish the fire and quick response in possible situations; finally, actual practice in cooperation with staff of the City’s Fire Prevention Team.

 

Recently, a number of severe fire is gradually increasing, caused huge damages in human and properties. In parallel with improving professional knowledge and skills, security and safety, especially fire prevention and fighting to ensure the safety of human and medical equipment properties is a special focus of Viet Duc University Hospital. It is an awareness, responsibility and regular activity of hospital, thus, in recent years, Director Board of the hospital always requests its staff and employees at hospital fully comply all rules and regulations on fire prevention and fighting, well usage of its regular tools, ensuring thorough containment of fire risks and violations of safety regulations in fire prevention and fighting.
