Transfer, support expertise for Cam Pha General Hospital – Quang Ninh

Viet Duc University Hospital is a special-class hopsital in Viet Nam, which was assigned by Ministry of Health as a focal point for implementing many projects, especially focus on training actitivies, techniques transferring, to enhance the abilities in examiniation and treatment for lower level medical staff in order to reduce overload situation for upper level hospitals. Recently, a team of Viet Duc University Hospital led by Prof. Tran Binh Giang – Director of hospital had a survey business trip, evaluated the need of expertise support, connected online television and signed a mutual contract for training, techniques transferring at Cam Pha General Hospital – Quang Ninh.

 The delegation conducted a survey and assessment of existing facilities, equipment (Surgery, Resuscitation anesthesia, Imaging Diagnosis) and the ability to receive technical packages of Cam Pha General Hospital. – Quang Ninh (human resources, equipment …); Check and evaluate activities: Online TV; Activities of directing and signing cooperation contracts to provide professional support for Cam Pha General Hospital – Quang Ninh.

 

 Coming to work at Cam Pha General Hospital – Quang Ninh this time, experts of Viet Duc University Hospital performed gallbladder polyp surgery, broadcast online from operating room to hospital hall, attracted the attention of city leaders and hundreds of health workers in Cam Pha General Hospital – Quang Ninh. Doctors performed surgery for male patient (62 years old) diagnosed with gallbladder polyps. The patient has found many polyps in his gallbladder for many years. Recently, sometimes pain in the lower right flank. Ultrasound results showed that bile ducts inside and outside liver were not dilated and had no stones; Thin-walled gallbladder, homogeneous bile, without gravel, polyps in the gallbladder, the largest size of 9x5mm. With the development of laparoscopic surgery, laparoscopic cholecystectomy is less invasive, less painful, and patient recover quickly, with less complications.

In the coming time, the Hospital should further promote achieved results, continue to implement received techniques, contribute to improve healthcare activities for people in the province. In 2020, Viet Duc University Hospital has supported Cam Pha General Hospital – Quang Ninh with 2 training/technology transfer packages under the 1816 project: Percutaneous kidney stones and techniques for scanning, reading CT film.
