70 Basic training courses on Endolaparosurgery were organized at Viet Duc University Hospital

Viet Duc University Hospital is a cradle of Vietnam’s Surgical field, also  a pioneer in examination, treatment activities as well as human resource training in health sector, in contributing the care for people’s health, brought Vietnam’s Surgical sector on par with other countries in the world.

Since the first basic endolaparosurgery training course was held until present, hospital has been successfully organized 70 training courses for thousand participants, significantly contributed to an effective deployment of endolaparosurgery to all hospital in provinces, cities, departments and many district hospitals, to bring endolaparosurgery from an ” noble surgery” to serving the majority of the people, an achievement that not all countries can do.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Duc Tien, MD, PhD – General Secretary of VASEL shared: I am fortunate to be one of the organizing members and directly teaching from beginning until now. Therefore, I believe that participants in this training course will learn a lot of useful and specialized knowledge especially in the field of laparoscopic surgery and when they return home, they will perform techniques well that have been trained in recent years. We will always accompany you in all professional activities not only in laparoscopic surgery in particular but also in surgery in general.

On behalf of the participants, one representative expressed gratitude for the dedication and professionalism of the Organizing Members as well as the teachers and promised to bring the gained knowledge to practice effectively in home. Hopefully, the hospital will continue to organize more training courses like this to help colleagues can study at a special surgical hospital with deep expertise, leading modern equipment in the country.

After studying at Viet Duc University Hospital, under the dedicated guidance of lecturers, the rating of the whole course is as follows: Excellent: 02 students, accounting for 8%; Fair category: 21 students, accounting for 84%; Average type: 02 students, accounting for 8%. After completing the training course, the trainees have performed many complicated laparoscopic surgeries, contributing to people’s health care.
