Viet Duc University Hospital – Hanoi Medical University: cooperation in educating and training for mutual development

Viet Duc University Hospital (VDUH) is a hospital with a long history, was a place for medical practice of Indochina Medical University (École de Médecine de l’Indochine), Hanoi Medical University (HMU) now. Over 110 years of establishment and development, VDUH is always accompanied with HMU in education and training as well as medical professional development. Pursuant to the Decree 111/ND-CP dated October 05th, 2017 of the Government regulates the practical training in health sector; Document No 1629/DHYHN-TCCB dated August 07th, 2019 of HMU about the plan with VDUH in practical training, VDUH held a meeting on education and training in cooperation with HMU, August 12th, 2020.
Attending the meeting, the delegates from HMU included Prof. Ta Thanh Van PhD. –Dean; Prof. Nguyen Huu Tu PhD. –Vice Dean; Ass. Prof. Doan Quoc Hung PhD. –Vice Dean; Mr. Pham Xuan Thang M.A. –Vice Dean and leaders of several clinical and functional departments.
Welcoming them at VDUH’side, there were Prof. Tran Binh Giang PhD –Director, Prof. Trinh Hong Son PhD. –Vice Director, Ass. Prof. Tran Dinh Tho PhD. –Vice Director, Ass. Prof. Dong Van He PhD. –Vice Director and leaders from clinical and functional departments, centers and institutions.
At the meeting, Prof. Ta Thanh Van PhD. – Dean of HMU thanks to VDUH’s Director Board for always interested in educating the students from HMU. Up to now, HMU always trusts the professional capacities and training skills of VDUH and HMU is so glad to the future long term cooperation in educating and training of two traditional partners in the healthcare sector.
Prof. Tran Binh Giang PhD. – Director of VDUH said: VDUH is a teaching and scientific research hospital with many leading and skilled doctors and professors in different specialties. VDUH not only successfully accomplishes its missions in consultation and treatment service but also trains thousands of medical students, fellows from the technical transferring programs, satellite hospital projects, Norred project, specialized or advanced classes… and about 1,500 participants in laparoscopic surgery course. As a Surgical Hospital at Special Rank, VDUH always ensures and facilitate all conditions for students to accomplish their training courses.
After having discussed all aspects of comprehensive cooperation of education and training between the two institutions about the contract’s conditions and principles of practical training in health sector, two institutions agreed on all contents and signed a Comprehensive Cooperation Agreement and a Principle Contract.
