Laughter, tight handshakes of the doctors and heart transplant patients at the Year End Meeting of the Heart Transplantation Patient Club – Viet Duc University Hospital (VDUH) made the space condensed.

 

Sharing at the meeting, Ass. Prof. Nguyen Huu Uoc PhD. – Director of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Center, VDUH said: with the aim to help the transplant patient have a chance to continue their lives, to meet other people, learn and share experience, improve the life quality, in February 2018, VDUH launched the Heart Transplantation Patient Club. Since then up to now, the Club operates actively and becomes a common home to bring doctors, patients and their relatives to be closer. This meeting is also a grateful event to thank to the silent sacrifice of organ donors and great hearts of their families.

3 years already since the special transplantation, Nguyen Thanh Dat – the youngest transplantation patient of Vietnam is grown up and getting mature now. With a beautiful smile, Dat was non-stopped to say thanks to the doctors of VDUH, who brought him back from the death ‘s scythe. The meeting was very meaningful when Dat could play with other heart transplant patients in the similar age. The happiness was even more when he met the oldest heart transplant patient in VDUH. The two generations met, sowing joy in life and hope for the future.
