Viet Duc University Hospital becomes A Training Center of Global Standards.

Viet Duc University Hosptial (Hanoi) with more than 70.000 surgeries performed per year, mainly serious and complex cases has been officially recognized as a Global standards training Center.

 

In the afternoon on April 20^th 2021, Viet Duc University Hospital held the Great Ceremony for Announcement of the Special class hospital Title for 2^nd time, for Reception of the Global Accreditation of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and for launching the Telemedicine system under the ODA project of German Government.

 

Prof. Tran Binh Giang MD. PhD – Director of Viet Duc University Hospital shared: Each year, we perform over 70.000 surgeries, mainly serious and complex cases. The hospital is the leading institution in the country, successfully implementing multi-organ transplant, liver transplant, heart transplant, kidney transplant, lung transplant…

The hospital has also deployed many services to improve hospital quality towards patient satisfaction such as regular health check, on-demand medical services, hospital fee guarantee by insurance… This is the second time the hospital has been recognized by the Ministry of Home Affairs as a Special class hospital.

 

According to Prof. Tran Binh Giang, the Royal College of Surgeons of England (RCS) is an independent agency with many activities, including the function of surgical evaluation and ranking, and global certification based on strict standards.

 

“Many surgical training facilities not only in the UK but in many other countries also want to be certified by RCS to increase ranking and reputation of the training and quality of the surgeons, not only domestically but also internationally” – the Director of Viet Duc University Hospital shared.

 

 

In order to receive the globally valuable certificate, Viet Duc University Hospital has carefully prepared the documentation and paperwork, and finally received the consent of all Board of Members with extremely rigorous evaluation criteria.
