Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony between Viet Duc University Hospital and Medtronic Vietnam Co., Ltd.

In the morning of June 2^nd, 2021, Viet Duc University Hospital (VDUH) and Medtronic Vietnam Co., Ltd held a Signing Ceremony of a memorandum of understanding (MOU), contributing to improving the quality of healthcare services for people.

 

 

Attending the Ceremony were Prof. Tran Binh Giang MD. PhD – Director of VDUH; Mr. Paul Verhulst – General Director of Medtronic Indochina. Directly present at the bridge point of Viet Duc University Hospital were the hospital’s Board of Director, leaders of the Institute of Orthopaedic Trauma and of the Center of the Anesthesia and Surgical Resuscitation. At the bridge points in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, there are also directors and managers from Medtronic Vietnam Co., Ltd.

 

 

The hospital is honored to cooperate with Medtronic Vietnam, an experienced agent in operating the training centers and programs in Asia and other regions. This cooperation promised to help the hospital’s training and research activities to be developed. From there, patients will soon be able to access the advanced achievements and techniques – Prof. Dr. Tran Binh Giang, Director of Hanoi Viet Duc Hospital emphasized.

 

 

At the online bridge points, representatives of the two units signed the MOU on principles of cooperation  for organizing training programs and training facilities. This is an agreement to promote activities, improve the quality of medical examination and treatment for people and develop the medical training system of VDUH. Medtronic Vietnam Co., Ltd. will provide the hospital with information on new therapies, technologies and medical devices, as well as assist in improving patient care capacity. On the other hand, the hospital will be provided with additional medical training resources, aimed at cultivating the professional knowledge and skills of healthcare facilities in Vietnam to improve the health system.

 

 

Recently, VDUH has also accompanied Medtronic Vietnam Co., Ltd. to successfully organize the online training course on “Updating colon cancer treatment”, attracting a large number of participants from over the country. At the training course, there were the lecturers: Dr. Duong Trong Hien MD. PhD – Head of Department of Emergency Abdominal Surgery, VDUH with the lecture “Update on treatment of colon cancer”; Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Hung MD. PhD – Head of Department of Gastroenterology, Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery, Bach Mai Hospital with the lecture “Laparoscopic surgery for cancer of right colon and splenic flexure colon”; Dr. Lam Viet Trung MD.
