Online opening ceremony of training course, transferring technical package “Kidney transplantation ” to Viet Tiep Hospital

A center of examination, treatment, training, scientific research, leading medical, Viet Duc University Hospital always focus on training, lecturing and scientific research, technical transferring activities. Febuary 2021, Viet Duc University is honor to be the first facility in Viet Nam accredited by the Royal College of Surgeons in England (RCS) that matched the global standards in Surgical training. Especially, hospital is biggest training center, organ transplant nationwide. Up to 23/6/2021, hospital has been deployed training, technical transferring of organ transplant like: kidney transplantation since 1993, performed 1.200 cases (150 cases of brain-dead); Liver transplantation: since 2007, performed 96 cases (70 cases of brain-dead); Heart transplantation: since 2010, performed 39 cases; Lung transplantation: since 2018, performed 5 cases; Furthermore, hospital also performed 01 case of heart and kidney transplantation.

 

 

After surveying direction activities and the conditions for receiving Kidney Transplant technique, recently, Viet Duc University Hospital held an online Opening Ceremony of training course, transferring technical package “Kidney transplantation” to Viet Tiep Hospital.

 

Participating in the opening ceremony, from Viet Duc University Hospital representative, there are Prof. Tran Binh Giang, MD, PhD – Director of Viet Duc University Hospital along with head of departments, divisions, centers, insitutes; from Viet Tiep Hospital, 2^nd degree specialist Nguyen Quang Tap – MD, President of Management Council of Viet Tiep Hospital.

 

 

Speaking at the online Opening Ceremony, Prof. Tran Binh Giang hopes that in the future with the support from Viet Duc University Hospital’s experts, Viet Tiep Hospital will develop and become a center that strong in kidney transplantation as well as other techniques in different transplants, brings hope to people, contributes to nation healthcare career.

 

Also at the Opening Ceremony, 2^nd degree specialist Nguyen Quang Tap – MD, President of Management Council of Viet Tiep Hospital had shown his gratitude toward the support from Viet Duc University Hospital. Through this, Viet Tiep Hospital will continue to learn, gain experience, improve facility, and strengthen modern techniques to perform more complex cases, helps hospital to grow.

 

Performing this high-tech medical technique requires the combination of different specialties, experiencing doctors and modern facility. During training period, leading experts from Viet Duc University Hospital will maximize the support to Viet Tiep Hospital in human resource and equipment. This will be a basis for both units to further cooperation develop in a more efficient way, to help patients beneficial from high-tech medical services and lower the costs.
