Promoting the spirit of “mutual love and affection“, joining hands to repel Covid-19 epidemic, in a short time, the Covid-19 Intensive Care Center affiliated Viet Duc University Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City has received many medical equipment, medical supplies, protective gear, medical masks and other essential things for the treatment of Covid-19 patients from enterprises and benefactors with a total value of more than 12 billion VND.

 

 

Prof. Tran Binh Giang – MD, PhD., Director of Viet Duc University Hospital shares: At the present, the situation of Covid-19 pandemic is wide spreading, complicated developments, the number of patients, especially those with severe respiratory symptoms is increasing in the Southern region and Ho Chi Minh city. Hence, Viet Duc University with other hospitals were assigned by Ministry of Health to go to Ho Chi Minh city in order to establish One Intensive Care Center for caring the patients with severe Covid, with 500 beds. When receiving that news, many sponsors, benefactors, partners of hospital have been so enthusiastic and try many ways to supply hospital with protection appliances, medical equipment, essential necessities … to help doctors and nurses have the qualified means of protection, ensure health and safety when treating diseases.

 

The doctors of Viet Duc University Hospital in general and Board of Directors in particular, were grateful and gratitude toward sponsors that had helped doctors whom day and night treating and caring severe and very critical Covid-19 patients at Intensive Care Covid-19 Patients Center affiliated Viet Duc University Hospital, which located at Binh Hung ward, Binh Chanh province, Ho Chi Minh city.
