The Vietnam Health Union joins hands with Viet Duc University Hospital in the fight against COVID-19

Recently, the delegation of the Vietnam National Union of Health Workers led by Dr. Vu Tien Dung, PhD – Vice Chairman of Vietnam National Union of Health Workers as head of the delegation paid a visit to Viet Duc University Hospital (VDUH) to present doctors and nurses with meaningful gifts, joining hands with hospital to prevent COVID-19 epidemic.
Welcoming the delegation, from Viet Duc University Hospital were Ass. Prof. Dong Van He – Vice Director of VDUH; Ass. Prof. Le Tu Hoang – Chairman of Hospital Union and members of the union’s executive committee.
During the fourth outbreak of COVID-19 epidemic, there were many turns of union members and health workers with about 20,000 people from the North and Central regions volunteering to go to the center of epidemic, not afraid of danger, difficulties, standing side by side with colleagues in the South, determined to repel the epidemic, minimize the harmful effects of pandemic, and bring peace to people. Thanks to the great contribution of this team, Vietnam has initially successfully controlled the epidemic in the southern provinces and cities when the number of deaths has decreased by 1/2 per day and by 1/3 of new cases. At the ceremony, Dr. Vu Tien Dung, on behalf of the Vietnam National Union of Health Workers, donated VND 50 million to trade unionists serving the concentrated isolation area at VDUH and VND 20 million to trade unionists participating in the fight against the epidemic in the South that have difficult circumstances.
Ass. Prof. Le Tu Hoang – MD, PhD, Chairman of VDUH Trade Union sends gratitude to the Vietnam National Union of Health Workers for its timely attention and support medical staff of hospital. This will be the motivation for hospital to always try their best and work hard in the journey of taking care people’s health.
