Good people doing good deeds: Find dropped property, give back to patient

About 10.00 AM on November 21, 2022, Mr. Do Minh Hung was at Viet Duc University Hospital for a medical examination, unfortunately, dropped his wallet at the On-Demand Examination Area. A kind patient found it and gave to Mr. Pham Huy Toan – staff of the Social Works Department in charge of support and assistance to patients. Immediately, Mr. Toan contacted the security team in accordance with the hospital’s procedures for returning the wallet to the proper owner.

 

 

This meaningful act is one of many beautiful actions of medical staff. Until now, Viet Duc University Hospital has recorded many cases of patients who dropped important documents or large amounts of cash when coming to the hospital for examination and treatment and were picked up and returned by medical staff.

 

Those beautiful actions further honor the ethical beauty of the noble profession, with the deep purpose of “Towards patient satisfaction” that the hospital’s medical staff always aim for. Placing the patient’s trust as a top priority, recently Viet Duc University Hospital also organized training sessions for “attitudes and communication styles” by  Prof. Tran Binh Giang MD. PhD – Director of the Hospital. This story will contribute to beautify the image of medical staff in the heart of the patients, and inspire strong feelings about kindness and good things in community and society.
