Updating new knowledge to improve treatment efficiency for patients at the Seminar “Dynamic Minimally Invasive System for the Treatment of Lumbar Degenerative Disc Diseases.”

Lumbar Degenerative Disc Diseases (LDDD) is one of the common musculoskeletal diseases in our country today, affecting the mobility of patients. In particular, if not detected early and treated promptly, the disease can cause many dangerous complications. In order to update and share for doctors at Viet Duc University Hospital as well as doctors in the region with new advanced knowledge and techniques in the field of spine pathologies. On July 19, the Center for Training and Direction of Health Activities in collaboration with the Department of Spine Surgery, Viet Duc University Hospital organized a seminar on “Application of Semi-dynamic Screw System in the treatment of LDDD “.

Attending the seminar, from Viet Duc University Hospital, there were: Assoc. Prof. Dinh Ngoc Son – MD, PhD, Deputy Director of Orthopedic Trauma Institute, Head of Spinal Surgery Department; Dr. Nguyen Van Hoc – MD, PhD, Deputy Head of Training Department – Training and Direction of Healthcare Activities Center. Especially the presence of Prof. Jens Lehmberg, MD, PhD – Head of Neurosurgery – Munich Hospital Bogenhausen – Germany, Mr. Joe Chan, Product Manager ulrich Asia Pacific – Vietnam Medical Equipment Corporation – Joint Stock Company (JCS). Attending the seminar were also representatives/leaders and doctors of Viet Duc University Hospital and colleagues from inside and outside Hanoi.

Speaking at the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dinh Ngoc Son – MD, PhD, Deputy Director of Orthopedic Trauma Institute, Head of Spinal Surgery Department, Viet Duc University Hospital, said that currently there are many measures to manage LDDD, but doctors would like to choose which procedures will be best for the patients. Hopefully, the seminar will bring a lot of useful information to doctors, colleagues, also to help in treating the patients more effectively.

At the seminar, the colleagues were updated with new knowledge in practice through the scientific report “Dynamic Minimally Invasive System for the Treatment of LDDD ” by Prof. Jens Lehmberg, MD, PhD – Head of Neurosurgery Department – Munich Hospital Bogenhausen – Germany, with valuable experience, direct training on clinical cases of leading experts in spinal surgery and orthopedic trauma of Viet Duc University Hospital.
