Viet Duc University Hospital admitted 70 new members of trade union, awarded medals for the career of building trade union organizations, and gave training on trade union task in 2023

Pursuant to the Charter of Vietnam Trade Union; Instructions for implementing the Vietnam Trade Union Charter No. 238 dated March 4, 2014 of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the 2023 operating plan of the Viet Duc University Hospital Trade Union, with the consent of the Trade Union Vietnam Health, Party Committee and Directors Board of Viet Duc University Hospital, on the afternoon of November 21, 2023, the Hospital Trade Union Executive Committee organized the “Ceremony to admit trade union members, award medals for the career of building trade union organizations and gave training on trade union task in 2023”.

Attending the program, on the Vietnam Medical Union side, were Comrade Vu Anh Tuan – Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Medical Union; Comrade Hoang Xuan Thao – Head of Legal Policy and Labor Relations Department – Vietnam Medical Union. On the side of Viet Duc University Hospital, there were Dr. Duong Duc Hung, PhD – Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of the Hospital; Assoc. Prof. Le Tu Hoang, MD, PhD – Chairman of the Hospital Trade Union. The participants were also the comrades in the Hospital Trade Union Executive Committee, representative of trade union groups, and especially 70 trade union members who have applied to join the union in 2023.

At the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Le Tu Hoang, MD, PhD – Chairman of Viet Duc University Hospital Trade Union congratulated the 70 new union members who have joined the Hospital Trade Union. Wishing that union members will properly exercise their rights and obligations when standing in the trade union, strive to work, study, and cultivate professional knowledge and career skills; Actively respond to the emulation movement and activities launched by the Trade Union, contributing to building a strong and united grassroots trade union.

On behalf of the Viet Duc University Hospital, Dr. Duong Duc Hung, MD, PhD – Director of Hospital congratulated Comrade Le Tu Hoang and the Hospital Union for their positive contributions, building solid union activities. Strong, typically with general health check-ups for all hospital staff. Dr. Duong Duc Hung also hopes that new trade union members will participate more actively and contribute to building a developed and effective trade union organization. At the same time, the Director also affirmed the trade union of Viet Duc University Hospital  is an inseparable part of the Vietnam Medical Union and is always listening, ready to invest, promote and support increasingly developed trade union activities.

On July 18, 2023, the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor signed Decision No. 7507 on awarding the Medal “For the career of building the Trade Union” to leaders and public officials union of the Vietnam Medical Trade Union, has made many contributions to building the Vietnam Trade Union; In which, Viet Duc University Hospital had 02 officers honored to receive medals:

– Dr. Bui Thanh Phuc, MD, PhD – Secretary of the Hospital Youth Union

– Pharmacist Tran Thi Hong Minh – Member of the Executive Committee of the Hospital Trade Union
