A man suffered from multiple injuries with deep burn in his face because of the gas cylinder exploded while cooking

Suckhoedoisong.vn – The gas cylinder suddenly exploded while being used to cook causing multiple injuries to a man in Tuyen Quang.

 

Viet Duc University Hospital just received Mr. T.V.H (30 years old) from Tuyen Quang in serious condition with multiple injuries:  brain with hematoma of the right hemisphere, right hand, deep burns on the head, face and neck.

 

The patient’s family shared that gas cylinder suddenly exploded while being used to cook causing multiple injuries to him.

 

At Viet Duc University Hospital, Mr. H was timely given first-aid. Dr. Bui Huy Manh, Department of Neurosurgery 1, Viet Duc University Hospital said: the patient was operated on emergency to remove hematoma at the right hemisphere. After operation, doctors continuous to do the surgical management on his right hand. In post-operative days, Mr. H is stable. He is temporally out of crisis situation, however, still need to be cared of due to the risk of infection and hematoma recurs.

Winter is coming, people has a habit of gathering around hot pot and grill. Many restaurants using mini gas cylinders not qualified can cause fire and explosion and directly affecting customers’ health and lives.

 

Additionally, mini gas cylinder explosion can cause injury or even serious injury as above mentioned. Therefore, we should be very careful when using mini gas cylinder such as using labeled one, not reuse because it is not safe.

 

Besides, when being used, the mini gas cylinder is not checked carefully, users put it in the ignition position without observing and the cylinder doesn’t match can cause explosion. he old stove and mini gas cylinder, which has peeled paint, rust, hard to ignite should not be used due to gas can easily leek and cause explosion.
