ADCV – Limoges Institute from French Republic has a mission in Viet Duc University Hospital

On the morning of November 16, 2023, the Association – ADCV “Aide au Développement de la Chirurgie au VietNam” has arrived at Viet Duc University Hospital. The ADCV, an Association from the French Republic, has been operating in Vietnam for many years with the goal of aiding in the development of surgery, particularly in the areas of nursing management and effective patient care.
Viet Duc University Hospital is one of the top hospitals in surgery, known for its high success rate and advanced technology. With around ten thousands of patients treated each year, providing quality healthcare is crucial and requires daily updates. Over 120 years of establishment and development, the hospital has received valuable support from many international organizations. One such organization is the ADCV, in collaboration with Limoges University Hospital, which recently visited the hospital to share their expertise in nursing, hospital quality, and patient care. This visit holds great significance for the hospital and its medical fields.
During the exchange sessions, there experts from the ADCV and the Limoges University Hospital included Ms. Ghislaine Pautard, specialist in caring for surgical patients undergoing gastrointestinal surgery, Mr. Loic Debosse, the chief nurse on anesthesiology and resuscitation for pediatric care, Mr. Paul Chenot, specialist in gastrointestinal tract and cardiovascular surgery, Ms. Kao Hnou Moua, specialist in cardiovascular surgery, Ms. Claudine Coudurier, also caring for patients undergoing digestive surgery.
At Viet Duc University Hospital side, there were: Dr. Duong Duc Hung, MD, PhD, Director; Dr. Bui Trung Nghia, MD, PhD, Head of International Cooperation Department and Deputy Head of Oncology Department; MSc. Tran Van Oanh, Head of Nursing Department; MSc. Bui Thi Kim Nhung, Deputy Head of Nursing Department; MSc. Chu Van Long, Deputy Head of Nursing Department; MSc. Tran Thu Ngan, Head of the Emergency Abdominal Surgery Department; MSc. Nguyen Thi Thuy Huyen, Chief Nursing of Department of Urology Surgery; MSc. Tran Thi Van Anh, Chief Nursing of Maxillofacial, Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery Department; MSc. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Chief Nursing of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Intensive Care Department; Mrs. Pham Thi Ngoan, Chief Nursing of Center of Anesthesia and Surgical Intensive Care (CASIC); Mrs. Duong Thi Phuong Thao, Specialized at first degree in Nursing, Chief Nursing Department of Pediatric and Neonatal Surgery.
During the discussion, Dr. Duong Duc Hung, MD, PhD, Director of Hospital expressed his joy and warm welcome to the delegation from Limoges University Hospital, especially to Ms. Ghislaine Pautard. The two parties have been long-standing partners since 1995, and Ms. Ghislaine Pautard has become a close friend of the hospital. Many medical staff from the Viet Duc University Hospital have had the opportunity to study at Limoges Limoges University Hospital and have returned to make valuable contributions to the hospital. The hospital is grateful for the support provided by Limoges Limoges University Hospital through their on-site training programs.
In addition, Dr. Duong Duc Hung has directed the Nursing Department to consider providing foreign language training for the nursing team, including English and French. The hospital committed to providing maximum support within its means to ensure that the nursing team has access to progressive knowledge and can enhance their expertise through integration.
On behalf of ADCV and Limoges University Hospital, Ms. Ghislaine Pautard, expressed her joy in returning to Viet Duc University Hospital after a challenging period of global struggle against COVID-19. During this time, the Limoges University Hospital generously donated to Viet Duc University Hospital for 20 devices for control of SPO2 with a message of solidarity and support. Witnessing the remarkable improvements in the quality of care at Viet Duc University Hospital, the delegation was filled with happiness and hopes that their continued efforts will lead to further positive changes in the quality of healthcare and patient care, particularly in fields such as gastrointestinal surgery, cardiovascular surgery, and pediatric care.
The opening exchange meeting for the ADCV – Limoges University Hospital – French Republic, which took place at Viet Duc Hospital, was highly significant and showed great promise for future cooperation.
