An 11-year-old boy was covered with scattered wounds by an firecracker accident

On 21st January, Viet Duc University Hospital received a case of a boy D.T.N (11 years old, lives in Phu Cu, Hung Yen) hospitalized with multi-wounds caused by an firecracker accident.
The patient was admitted to the emergency room with many left shoulder soft wounds, left knee, amputation of finger 3,4 injury and numerous wounds scattered on the palm and back of his left hand.
According to a family member, on the way home, N. picked up a small strange object with his fingers on the road and played with it. Unfortunately, the object exploded causing him to have multiple injuries.
Dr. Nguyen Van Phan, MD, MA – General Orthopedic Surgery Department, Viet Duc University Hospital said, doctors on duty performed surgery on emergency, handled shoulder soft wounds, knee, and amputated fingers 3 and 4 of the left hand.
After surgery, the patient’s condition was stable, being treated and cared at General Orthopedic Surgery Department, Viet Duc University Hospital.
Worth mentioning, this is not the only accident caused by firecracker, last time, Viet Duc University Hospital repeatedly receive accidents caused by firecracker.
Doctors warn that the Chinese Lunar New Year is approaching, people need to strictly follow the managing and use of firecracker laws to avoid more unfortunate accidents, causing serious health damages.
