Authentic N95 Respirator – A decisive shield in preventing infection of Sars-CoV-2 Virus.

During the complicated and unpredictable situation of the Covid-19 epidemic, many donors, benefactors have appeal and donated the PPE – Personal Protective Equipment for medical staff for protecting the “Angels in White” who directly care and treat patients with Covid-19. We are very touched by that noble act and deeply grateful.

 

 However, when checking the PPE, especially N95 masks (N95 respirators) we found some types of N95 respirators are not met with the N95 respirators standards. Practical experience shows that most of the infections for medical staffs while taking care of patients are caused by wearing substandard masks. This is a very serious risk, directly affecting the health and life of caregivers .

 

Recently, the management agency has caught a very large fake N95 respirators trade. Likely, many of the masks bought and donated to medical facilities are not qualified from these sources.

 

Therefore, we urgently suggest that donors, charitable individuals when buying PPE, especially N95 respirators to donate to hospitals for caring Covid-19 patients, should check carefully the information such as the origin, technical standards, production codes, ensuring all PPE are able to protect doctors and medical staff while taking care of patients, contributing to the whole country in repelling and winning the pandemic.
