Department of Microbiology of Viet Duc University Hospital has achieved the international certificate of ISO 15189:2012

On August 23, the Department of Microbiology of Viet Duc University Hospital was awarded an International Standards of ISO 15189:2012 by the Bureau of Accreditation (BOA).

 

 

Attending the program, there were Mr. Dang Quoc Quan – Deputy Director of Bureau of Accreditation (BOA). On the side of Viet Duc University Hospital, there are Prof. Dr. Tran Binh Giang – Director of the hospital, Assoc. Prof. Dong Van He – Deputy Director of the hospital, Mr. Dinh Hong Thai – Deputy Director of the hospital, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Manh Khanh – Deputy Director of the hospital and representatives of departments and centers of the hospital.

 

 

Congratulating the achievement of the Department of Microbiology for awarding the ISO 15189: 2012, Prof. Dr. Tran Binh Giang – Director of the hospital, praised the efforts of the department as well as the staff to improve the quality of medical services and to meet the increasing needs of the patients. At the same time, the hospital’s director emphasized that obtaining ISO 15189:2012 certificate is the initial success, an essential foundation for the departments in the hospital’s laboratory system to maintain the management system according to the International Standards effectively. It is necessary to maintain the management system to ensure that the quality goals are sustainable, and it needs to be regularly checked and examined to achieve good results.

 

 

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Van – the Head of the Microbiology Department of Viet Duc University Hospital, said: The Department of Microbiology is an unit under Viet Duc University Hospital established in 1983 with two parts: the Microbiology department of the Hematology Department and the Parasitology department of the Department of Pathology. Today, we are so honored and proud to receive the ISO 15189: 2012 certificate. In the future, the Department of Microbiology will continue to maintain and regularly implement the improvement of the quality management system, contributing to the advancement of the quality of medical care and ensuring patient satisfaction.
