For the 5th consecutive time, Viet Duc University Hospital signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Medtronic Vietnam Company

On August 18th, the Signing Ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding in 2022 between Viet Duc University Hospital and Medtronic Vietnam Company was held for enhancing the cooperation and implementing more effectively the development strategy in advanced medical technology at the hospital. The ceremony also marked the 5th consecutive cooperation agreement of the two sides after the first signing in 2018.
Attending the ceremony, on the side of Viet Duc University Hospital, there was Prof. Dr. Tran Binh Giang – Director of Viet Duc University Hospital. On the side of Medtronic Vietnam Company, there were Mr. Paul Verhulst, General Director of Medtronic Indochina and Ms. Linda Soo, Training Director. Besides, there were also the leaders of Institutes/Centers/Departments of Viet Duc University Hospital, Directors and Managers of Vietnam Medtronic Company.
Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Tran Binh Giang – Director of Viet Duc University Hospital shared: The hospital and Medtronic Vietnam Company have had more than 10 years of cooperation, starting from scientific activities in the fields such as Hepatobiliary Surgery, Anesthesia and Surgical Intensive Care; then expanded the scope of cooperation with many other specialties: Neurosurgery, Cardiovascular – Thoracic Surgery, Spine Surgery… In 2018, the two sides jointly held the Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony to open a new page in the history of cooperation. Continuing the tradition, in 2022, the two sides will continue to sign a MOU to continue promoting closer and more sustainable cooperation.
Believing in the sustainable cooperation of the two units, Mr. Paul Verhulst, General Director of Medtronic Indochina emphasized: Viet Duc University Hospital is the largest surgical center in Vietnam with nearly 70,000 surgeries per year. The hospital is equipped with much modern medical equipment, including technology from Medtronic. For more than 60 years, Medtronic has always been faithful to its mission: to relieve pain, restore health and prolong life for people around the world. Through close cooperation between the two units, Medtronic will be one step closer to its mission and vision.
In the coming time, Viet Duc University Hospital and Medtronic Vietnam Company will continue to cooperate more and more closely in the field of training and application of advanced science and technology in medicine, contributing to improving the quality of patient life and quality of healthcare services.
