“Heart transplantation patient club” at Viet Duc Hospital – An additional address to share and update information for the patient

In the morning of February 7th, at Department of Cardio-vascular and Thoracic Surgery Department, Viet Duc Hospital has opened “Heart transplantation patient club” of hospital, in order to help transplantation patient to have a life extension possibility, health recovery and come back to the daily life, as well as to create appropriate conditions for transplantation patients to meet, exchange and learn experience from others.
There is many staff attending the opening ceremony: Ass. Prof. Dong Van He – Vice Director of Viet Duc Hospital/Vice Director of Vietnam National Coordination Center for Human Organ Transplantation, Ass. Prof. Nguyen Huu Uoc – Chief of Cardio-vascular and Thoracic Surgery Department, Dr. Nguyen Lan Huong – Vice Chairman of Hospital’s Trade Union, Mr. Tran Van Oanh M.N – Head Nurse of Hospital, Dr. Nguyen Trong Son M.D. – Chief of Social Worker Department. Beside that, patients and their relatives also participated.
On the occasion with warm hospitality, Ass. Prof. Dong Van He congratulates patients who have recovered after heart transplantation and come back to the normal life. He hopes that establishing “Heart transplantation patient club” is a bridge to connect doctors with patients and their relatives.
Recently, Viet Duc Hospital has successfully performed 19 cases of heart transplantation and applied high technology in organ transplantation, bringing new lives to the patients. Ass. Prof. Nguyen Huu Uoc – Chief of Cardio-vascular and Thoracic Surgery Department emphasizes that through several meetings, specialized doctors will answer all questions from patients about the recovery factors and schedule consultation on related treatment, infection after transplantation, medication for patient as well as health caring during normal life.
It is also a change for transplantation patients to meet and express their thanks to silent scarify of organ donors and humanitarian spirit of their families. On behalf of heart transplantation patient of Viet Duc Hospital, Mr Hoang Van Tan thanks caring of Director Board of Viet Duc Hospital, the whole-hearted of doctors, especially doctors in Cardio-vascular and Thoracic Surgery Department.
With supporting from Director Board, it hopes that in the future, “Heart transplantation patient club” will be active, efficient in helping patients to update their understanding as well as treatment. In order to broaden this humanitarian purpose, on February 8th, 2018, Viet Duc Hospital will open “Liver transplantation patient club” to assist patient to have a healthy life.
