Interventions to thoracic aortic pathologies

In order to exchange experience, specialty knowledge on pathologies of thoracic aorta and it’s management, recently, Training and Direction of Healthcare Activities Center cooperated with Cardiovascular and Thoracic Center, Medtronic Company to organize Workshop “Interventions to thoracic aortic pathologies– K2”.

 

Participants from Viet Duc University Hospital, there were Assoc.Prof. Nguyen Huu Uoc, PhD – Director of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Center; Dr. Phung Duy Hong Son, MD, PhD – Vice Director of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Center together with other doctors, colleagues.

 

Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Huu Uoc, PhD – Director of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Center, Viet Duc University Hospital spoke at the workshop.

 

At the workshop, experts have presented about topics: Update on management and treatment of thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR): Experience from Viet Duc University Hospital; Acute aortic syndrome Diagnosis and treatment; Treatment of type A aortic dissection with improved frozen elephant trunk (FET); Surgical skill in Hybrid thoracic aortic disease treatment, Step by step procedure in TEVAR: patients’ selection, measurement and planning; Steps in interventional thoracic aortic (TEVAR); Management of complications post interventional inner thoracic aorta; Experience on simulator system.

 

The workshop brought much specialty knowledge, practical skills for doctors

 

The workshop has operated successfully which brought much specialty knowledge, practical skills and exchange clinical experience to doctors, medical staff specialized in cardiovascular.
