Japanese Corporation Osaki Medical visited and worked at Viet Duc University Hospital

Recently, Japanese Corporation Osaki Medical has visited and worked at Viet Duc University Hospital to discuss about cooperation chances in the future.

Participated the meeting, Prof. Tran Binh Giang, M.D, Ph.D – Director of hospital – President of Vietnam Association for Surgery and Endolaparosurgery (VASEL), from Japanese Corporation Osaki Medical, there were Mr. Osaki Masao – President of Osaki Medical Corporation with delegation.

Speaking at the meeting, Prof. Tran Binh Giang, M.D, Ph.D shared: Viet Duc University Hospital is a major surgical center in Vietnam operating in medical examination and treatment as well as training in medical fields, with strengths in international cooperation. Every year, hospital performs surgery on over 80,000 cases, with nearly 4,000 trainees and students coming to participate in training to improve skills and professional qualifications. In addition, this place is also the headquarters of major medical associations of Vietnam: Vietnam Association for Surgery and Endolaparosurgery, Vietnam Association of Orthopedic Trauma, Vietnam Association of Neurosurgery, Vietnam Association of Spinal Surgery… The hospital hopes that in the future, it can open up prospects for cooperation with Japanese Corporation Osaki Medical.

Mr. Osaki Masao compliments and highly appreciated the achievements and stature of Vietnam’s surgical field. He hopes that the cooperation relationship between the Hospital and the Corporation will be growing more and more, especially in the field of Laparoscopic Surgery training.

 It is expected that in June 2023 there will be a specialized workshop on Laparoscopic Inguinal Hernia Surgery (TAPP technique) conducted by Prof. Hayakawa Tetsushi, M.D, Ph.D– Director of Meiho Hospital Japan, President of the Japan Association for Research on Laparoscopic Hernia Surgery, is the “father” of this technique. The seminar was held at Viet Duc University Hospital, the participants will be doctors specializing in laparoscopic surgery of hospitals across the country.
