In the New Year of Tiger in 2022, the Tet holiday lasts 9 days, and many people can rest and fully enjoy with their families. However, the Doctors “white shirt soldiers” directly treating severe Covid-19 patients at Viet Duc University Hospital have not had the Tet holiday. They work all day and night for caring many severe and very serious patients. It’s so hard, but witnessing the moment when the patients are recovered, discharged from the hospital, welcome the New Spring safely with their family, it’s indescribable happiness of the doctors in the front lines against the epidemic.

“Most initial Covid-19 patients feel very anxious, pessimistic, and scared. Therefore, in addition for caring them according to the protocol, we must regularly encourage and help them regain their spirit in cooperating with doctors and nurses for fighting against the pandemic. Directly fighting agains the pandemic to support Ho Chi Minh City in September 2021 have brought us a lot of experience of care and treatment for severe and serious Covid-19 patients. Although the doctors and medical staff must work with high intensity in a harsh environment and always face the risk of disease exposure, we still adhere to safety measures, prevent cross-infection, keep a strong spirit, make the best efforts to treat patients and contribute to the health sector in the prevention and control of Covid-19 epidemic.” Dr. Ha said.

With the strong uphold spirit of “fighting the epidemic is like fighting the enemy” and determining the long-term task of caring for Covid-19 patients, the place to treat SARS-CoV-2-positive patients is located in a separate area in Viet Duc University Hospital. All doctors and patients adhere to strict epidemic prevention requirements.

The hospital’s medical staff temporarily put aside their happiness to work day and night to treat patients and contribute to the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic program. We wish all the doctors, nurses and medical staff good health and hope many more people will be discharged to reunite with their families to make this spring more meaningful.
