Patient with testicular injury while driving fastest motorcycle

Recently, Viet Duc University Hospital took in an unexpected accident of testicular injury because of driving fastest motorcycle. Mr. D.V.G (45 years old) admitted to hospital due to swelling, pain, large bruises in the scrotum caused by a motorcycle accident. During driving motorcycle, patient released the clutch, the motorcycle suddenly jerked, causing Mr. G’s scrotum to slam into fuel tank.

 

 

 

At Viet Duc University Hospital, patient was quickly checked by doctor and performed some para-clinical checks, ultrasound shows contusion associated with  hematoma of the testis parenchyma must tear the white capsule.

 

 

Dr. Nguyen Duy Khanh – MD, Andrology and Sexual Medicine Center, Viet Duc University Hospital informs: Patient had emergency surgery in time, right testicle was torn and white capsule was 1x2cm exposing parenchyma. The operation for Mr. G was to remove hematoma, stitched to preserve testicles. After surgery, patient was stable, expected to be discharged after 3 days.

 

According to Ass. Prof. Nguyen Quang, Director of Andrology and Sexual Medicine Center, testicle injury may happen because of leisure accidents: kicking, squeezing the crotch, road traffic accident or even by bike-cycle. Testicle lesions would cause damage to sperm organ, vas deferens system, reduce the quality and the fertility in male.
