Re-energizing the South in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic

After 20 days urgently building a field hospital and setting up a COVID-19 intensive care center in just 7 days, on August 11, the Intensive Care Center for COVID-19 affiliated to Viet Duc University Hospital (VDUH) in Binh Chanh district, Ho Chi Minh City with a scale of 500 beds has received and treated the first COVID-19 patients.

Prof. Tran Binh Giang – Director of Field Hospital No. 13 directly directs the reception and treatment of COVID-19 patients at the COVID-19 Intensive Care Center affiliated to VDUH in Ho Chi Minh City.

The experts from the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases shared professional activities to support the fight against COVID-19 of VDUH in Ho Chi Minh City.

 

 

The Intensive Care Center for COVID-19 patients affiliated to VDUH in Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City with a scale of 500 beds is ready to receive and treat severe COVID-19 patients.

Before going to the field hospital on duty, all medical staff are thoroughly trained in methods of receiving, treating and caring for COVID-19 patients. In the photo, more than 300 doctors and nurses from VDUH set out to support the South to fight the pandemic.

Mr. Le Hoa Binh – Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee at the Intensive Care Center for affiliated to VDUH sent his gratitude to the leaders of Hospital and all medical staff for not having concern to work day and night since the first days of opening the Intensive Care Center and receiving the first COVID-19 patients on August 11, joining with Ho Chi Minh City fight against COVID-19 pandemic. Ho Chi Minh City is going through a difficult time due to the influence of the COVID-19 wave, the support of the doctors and nurses of VDUH will increase people’s confidence and more motivation to overcome difficulties during the pandemic.

 

On August 11, the Intensive Care Center for COVID-19 affiliated to VDUH received the first COVID-19 patients for treatment.
