The delegation from Saxion University of Applied Sciences, the Netherlands pays an official visit to Viet Duc University Hospital

Within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding, Viet Duc University Hospital welcomed a delegation from Saxion University of Applied Sciences, the Netherlands between 4/7 and 7/7/2022.

 

The purpose of this visit is to discuss about the activities of the delegation at the Department of Rehabilitation, Department of Neurosurgery I and Department of Upper Extremity Surgery and Sports Medicine; Identify opportunities to organize lectures, seminars and symposia in 2022; Plan to exchange students and medical staff of both sides in coming years.

 

 

Joining the official visit at Viet Duc University Hospital, the delegates from Saxion University of Applied Sciences included Mrs. Catharina Johanna Maria Rensen, Director of Clinical Training Project specializing in Rehabilitation; Mrs. Gesina Gerarda Maria Geerink, Project Manager of Clinical Training in Nursing; Mrs. Ngo Thi Bich Ngoc, Main Coordinator of Clinical training project, Manager of International Strategic Partnerships.

 

 

On May 31, 2022, after having discussion and negotiation, Viet Duc University Hospital and Saxion University of Applied Sciences decided to sign a MOU as a premise for future bilateral development cooperation opportunities.

 

 

Speaking at a meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Manh Khanh – Deputy Director of Viet Duc University Hospital, said: “After the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Hospital and Saxion University in the Netherlands in May 2022, the hospital is very pleased to work and collaborate professionally with Saxion experts in Department of Rehabilitation and Department of Nursing, helping to enhance experience and knowledge of medical staff and students doing clerkship”.

 

 

After the meeting, the delegates came to work directly at the Department of Rehabilitation, Department of Neurosurgery I and Department of Upper Extremity Surgery and Sports Medicine. They visited facilities, find out about medical techniques and work with doctors and nurses at these departments.

 

 

As scheduled, between July 4 and July 7, 2022, the delegation from Saxion University and representatives of Viet Duc University Hospital will visit to discuss about the opportunities of medical cooperation at the National Children’s Hospital, Myrehab Rehabilitation Center and the Netherlands Embassy in Hanoi.
