The seminar “Updating advances in Anesthesia and Resuscitation 2022” had successfully held with many value and significant scientific presentations for clinical practice.

Anesthesia and resuscitation had been developed strongly in recent years, contributing significantly to the surgical process and postoperative recoveries of patients. In order to update and exchange knowledge and experience in anesthesia and resuscitation for medical staff, on October 5th, Training and Direction of Healthcare Activities Center associated with the Center of anesthesia and surgical intensive care (CASIC)-Viet Duc University Hospital organized a seminar “Updating advances in Anesthesia and Resuscitation 2022”.

 

 

Attending the workshop, on the side of Vietnam Society of Anaesthesiologists, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr Cong Quyet Thang – President; Prof. Dr Nguyen Quoc Kinh – Vice President, Former Director of CASIC, Viet Duc University Hospital.

 

From Viet Duc University Hospital, there were Dr. Luu Quang Thuy,MD,PhD – Director of CASIC; Dr. Dao Thi Kim Dung,MD,PhD – Deputy Director of CASIC; Dr. Nguyen Thi Thuy Ngan,MD,PhD – Deputy Director of CASIC; Dr Do Trung Dung,MD,PhD – Deputy Director of CASIC, along with the events of the doctors directly involved at Hanoi Viet Duc Hospital and doctors at more than 100 online inquiry points.

 

The seminar has updated new advances in resuscitation such as carbohydrate use, one component of ERAS prior the surgery; Anesthesia on the patients with heart problems have no- cardiology surgeries; Basic and advance on clinical practice of anesthesia for children’s; Postoperative Infusionstherapie for important surgeries; Prophylaxis and management of bleeding in resuscitated patients; Preparedness, evaluation and plans of anesthesia for post-COVID-19 patients.

 

 

Speaking at the seminar, Dr. Luu Quang Thuy,MD,PhD – Director of CASIC, Viet Duc University Hospital shared: Every year, Viet Duc University Hospital maintains scientific conferences, aims to give the opportunities for doctors and nurses to update the latest advances, to exchange and share experiences in anesthesia and resuscitation for improving the quality of care and treatment. The teachers used to say that if we don’t update, we will stop, then we will be obsolete, so we always have to update new knowledge about anesthesia and resuscitation. This year, the seminar has many value significant scientific reports on anesthesia by leading experts in order to provide the most effective treatment, helping to prolong survival  and improving the patient’s quality of life.
