Viet Duc University Hospital supported Ha Tinh General Hospital in professional activities

On 15th June, the Delegation of Viet Duc University Hospital led by Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Manh Khanh – MD, PhD, Vice Director for one business trip to Ha Tinh General Hospital. Welcoming the delegation, there were 2^nd degree specialized – Dr. Hoang Quang Trung, Director of Ha Tinh General Hospital along with representatives from departments, divisions in hospital.

At the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Manh Khanh – MD, PhD presented briefly about profession activities assessment plan, implementation of project 1816, Tele health project and training packages in 2023.

Ha Tinh General Hospital has reported the examination and treatment activities as well as needs, suggested profession areas that required support. Ha Tinh General Hospital is a 1st class hospital with planned 1000 beds assigned by Department of Health, actual number of beds are 1422, with 44 departments, divisions with 26 clinical departments, 8 sub-clinical departments and 10 functional departments. The hospital expected Viet Duc University Hospital supports in transferring profession of specialties such as Neurosurgery, Diagnostic Imaging, Cardiovascular in herniation removal endolaparosurgery for spinal disc hernia; Minimally invasive spine surgery; Meningiomas surgery; Surgical drainage of the  brain ventricles; Embolization for visceral arterial pathologies; Peripheral vascular intervention …

 After on-site surveying, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Manh Khanh – MD, PhD – Vice Director of Viet Duc University Hospital summarizes the on-site visit at Ha Tinh General Hospital: It is recommended that Ha Tinh General Hospital has a clear human development plan, giving priority to the development of human resources, necessary techniques and equipment; Ensure legality in training & practice; Promote hands-on training, avoid lack of direct practical knowledge; Quickly add equipment to serve technicians, especially trained technicians, that need to be deployed in the near future; Investment from local authorities is required in the procurement of equipment; Need to actively participate in Tele-health system, Telemedicine.
