Viet Duc Univesity Hospital welcomed the delegates for the 3rd Assessment of the Quality Management System according to ISO 9001:2015

On September 20th, Viet Duc University Hospital welcomed the experts from VIETNAM CERTIFICATION CENTRE (QUACERT) for the 3rd  Assessment of the Quality Management System according to ISO 9001:2015. Working with the delegation, there were Assoc. Prof, Tran Dinh Tho, MD, PhD – Vice Director of the hospital, the leaders from Centers/Faculties/Departments and specialized ISO staff belong to the hospital quality management system.

Viet Duc University Hospital met with the delegates for the 3rd Assessment of the Quality Management System according to ISO 9001:2015

In 2017, Training and Direction of Healthcare Activities Center has received quality management system certification according to ISO 9001:2015 standards. In 2020, Viet Duc University Hospital was continued to be evaluated and certified by QUACERT according to ISO 9001:2015 standards for Functional Departments, Pharmacy Department and Nutrition Department. In 2021, the Training and Direction of Healthcare Activities Center of the Hospital was evaluated and joint to a general quality management system.

On the side of Viet Duc University Hospital, there were Assoc. Prof. Tran Dinh Tho, MD, PhD – Vice Director of the hospital and the representatives of Centers/Faculties/Departments and specialized ISO staff belong to the hospital quality management system.

To evaluate and monitor compliance with the quality management system according to ISO 9001:2015 standards at the sites, QUACERT conducts monitoring and evaluating at the hospital every 9 months. In February 2022, QUACERT performed the 1st assessment, the 2nd in December 2022, and the 3rd in September 2023.

The 3rd assessment of the Quality Management System, according to ISO 9001:2015, took place in a serious and active condition. At the end, the delegation concluded that the hospital maintained a good hospital quality management system according to ISO 9001:2015 standards, no non-conformities were observed, the Hospital continued to maintain the hospital quality management system according to ISO 9001:2015 standards.

Speaking at the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Tran Dinh Tho, MD, PhD – Vice Director of the hospital, emphasized that improving the quality of medical services to meet the increasing needs of the people is an urgent requirement of the medical field. The ultimate goal of improving the quality of medical services is to respond properly the patient’s demand and to ensure the patient safety and satisfaction. On behalf of Viet Duc University Hospital, Assoc. Prof. Tran Dinh Tho, MD, PhD addressed his express to thank for the contributions from the QUACERT experts to develop the hospital’s quality to becoming a leading center for medical examination, treatment, training and scientific research.
